New Books
There is an extensive list of new books available in the research library. For a full list click here.

We have been answering questions about family, local and Vermont history for more than 50 years. During this time we have collected about 4,000 genealogies and much informal research on New England ancestors.

Our collection includes Microfilmed Vermont vital records to 1908, Microfilmed Barbour Collection of Connecticut Vital records, Massachusetts and Rhode Island vital records and parts of New Hampshire and Maine vital records. We have a strong collection on the Revolutionary War, especially the Battle of Bennington, and rosters of Revolutionary veterans from Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts , and New York. Our Vermont veterans collection contains rosters for major conflicts through the Vietnam War.

Our state, country and town histories are augmented by various military histories and the new Rolando collection which is focused on New England industrial history.
