Family Workshop: Hill Town to Mill Town

On Saturday, November 17 the Bennington Museum will offer a family workshop from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. The workshop, entitled "Hill Town to Mill Town," is designed for children ages 6 and up and their grown-up friends. Families will learn about some of the important industries in Bennington and the surrounding area through the exploration of products made in regional mills and factories. Find out why the center of town shifted from the area we now call "Old Bennington" to what we call "Downtown."

This workshop is $2/person for members, and $8/person for non-members. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. The Bennington Museum has a full schedule of 2007 family workshops. Be sure to check the website for upcoming classes covering all sorts of interesting topics for kids and families!

The Bennington Museum is located at 75 Main St. (Route 9) one mile west of the intersection of Routes 7 and 9 in downtown Bennington, Vermont. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Wednesdays. For more information, visit the website at www.benningtonmuseum.org or call 802-447-1571.
