Opening Reception for Arlington Artists Exhibit at the Bennington Museum

On Friday, June 22 the Bennington Museum will be hosting an opening reception to celebrate the exhibit “Rockwell Kent to Norman Rockwell: The Arlington Artistic Community, 1920 -1960”.  Come and join us from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. for this special preview evening, celebrating the varied lives of artists, writers, and composers in the Arlington area in the first half of the 20th century. Enjoy a glimpse of the exhibit, dance to the Richard Cherry trio, watch an artist create a special on-site artwork during the reception, get insight from the curator and enjoy the delicious hors-d'oeuvres and cash bar.  Due to the generosity of Chittenden Bank, the sponsor of this event, the first 100 to RSVP will receive free admission.  After that tickets are $5/members and $10/non-members. Please RSVP by June 18 at  802-447-1571. Be sure to check the website for more upcoming events.

“Rockwell Kent to Norman Rockwell: The Arlington Artistic Community, 1920 -1960” will be running from June 23 – August 19 and can be viewed with regular admission to the museum. The Bennington Museum is located at 75 Main St. (Route 9) one mile west of the intersection of Routes 7 and 9 in downtown Bennington, Vermont. Open daily from 10am to 5pm, closed Wednesdays.
