Community Days at the Bennington
Museum
The Bennington Museum
is excited to announce a series of “Free-for-All Final Fridays” sponsored by
The Bank of Bennington. These community
days at the Bennington Museum are days when anyone can enjoy, free of
charge, the Bennington
Museum and two very
special exhibitions that will be on view this summer. The free days are
scheduled for the final Fridays of June, July, and August.
The generosity of The Bank of
Bennington - “Your Home Town Bank” - makes it possible for all in the community
to visit on any “Free-for-All Final
Friday” and enjoy the amazing variety of art and objects on view at the
museum. From permanent collections to
temporary exhibits, there is always something truly special to see.
This summer the museum is featuring
two remarkable exhibits. “Rockwell Kent
to Norman Rockwell: The Arlington Artistic Community, 1920-1960” runs from
June 23 – August 19, and focuses on the wealth of artistic and cultural
personalities active in the Arlington
area in the beginning of the 20th century. “Impressionism
and Beyond: Masterpieces from Private Collections,” featuring rarely
exhibited paintings from the French Impressionists and those they influenced,
runs from August 4-October 31. Both these special events are an excellent opportunity
for the community to experience fine art right here in Bennington.
So take advantage of The Bank of Bennington’s “Free for
All Final Fridays” at the Bennington
Museum. Have fun and help
celebrate a summer of great art in Bennington.
The museum is located at 75 Main St. and is open daily 10-5.
Closed Wednesdays. Visit www.benningtonmuseum.org
