| Take Me Out To The Ballgame: FREE Opening Celebration |
| Come to the Bennington Museum and the Bennington Center for the Arts on Friday, June 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the Opening Celebration of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”: A Summer of Baseball in Bennington. Be among the first 40 to visit the Bennington Museum, and receive a free ticket to the Bennington Bomber’s game at Southern Vermont College at 5:00 p.m. (the 13th); Or to receive a free F.W .Webb sponsored Red Sox Shirt.
There will be baseball fare - hot dogs, pretzels, burgers, popcorn, cracker jacks and more. Get in some pitching and batting practice with the players of the Bennington Bombers Baseball Team. Meet and greet local Bombers’ player Mike Becker. Enjoy skits from the play “Nobody Don’t LikeYogi’, which will open at the Dorset Theatre Festival on June 19 and run through June 28. Listen to “Casey at the Bat”, baseball themed crafts, and so much more. Take a chance on many great prizes like an autographed 8” x 10” picture of former Red Sox first-baseman, John Olerud or an autographed official Red Sox baseball signed by potential great Manny Delcarmen, and more. Bombers shirts, caps and baseballs will be given to a lucky winner every ½ hour. You could win an 11” x 14” portrait by Irene Goyette. The winner will select a bat from those in the exhibit - Mickey Mantle’s, Lou Gehrig’s, Ted Williams’, Babe Ruth’s - and use it as a prop in the photograph. The winner of this must be 12 years of age or younger. Shuttle service between the Bennington Museum and the Center for the Arts will be provided. Experience The Golden Age of Baseball: The Great Icons of Baseball and Baseball in Vermont: History Comes Alive at the Museum. Then travel across the road to the Bennington Center for the Arts to see Heroes and Legends: A Mike Schacht Retrospective. The Opening Celebration is supported by The Boston Red Sox, former Red Sox first baseman, John Olerud, Southern Vermont College, Hannaford Supermarkets, Irene Goyette Photography Studio, The Bennington Bombers, F.W. Webb Plumbing Supply, Perez Ehrich, WBTN Radio Station, Bennington Sports and Graphics, and The Dorset Theatre Festival. |

| The Bennington Museum is located at 75 Main Street (Route 9), Bennington, in The Shires of Vermont. The museum is just a short ride from Manchester, Williamstown, and eastern New York.
