Industrial Archeology Presentation at the Bennington Museum

Archeologists in Vermont?  While many of us may think archeology is limited to the pyramids of Egypt or Indiana Jones movies, there are actually archeologists in our own backyard!  Industrial historian Victor R. Rolando will present “Great Discoveries in Vermont Industrial Archeology” at the Bennington Museum on Thursday, September 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The slide-illustrated presentation will delve into the variety of Rolando’s discoveries and experiences during the course of over 30 years of archeological and historical research.  Rolando’s work has focused on the study of 19th and 20th -century physical remains of industrially related artifacts and sites in the Green Mountain State.  For program information contact Victor R. Rolando at 802-442-2276 or the Bennington Museum at 802-447-1571.  This program is free.

The museum is located at 75 Main St. and is open daily 10-5. Closed Wednesdays. Visit www.benningtonmuseum.org for more information or cal 802-447-1571.
