In celebration of

3D Digital: Here and Now

We at the museum are proud of the amazing advances in design and technology being made right here in Bennington, and we think everyone in Bennington should be too. That's why the museum is waiving  regular admission fees from May 15 through June 15 for anyone who lives in or works in Bennington County!* Show proof for one of these, and then you can go check out "3D Digital: Here and Now" and feel the pride yourself.

While local college students (including Bennington College, Community College of Vermont, Northeastern Baptist College, Southern Vermont College, and Vermont Technical College of Bennington) are always welcome to the museum free of charge, the museum is extending this current offer to students at RPI, Williams College, Marlboro College, and  Russell Sage College.  Just present current student ID for admission.

*Show proof of residency or employment to obtain free admission for the entire immediate family.  Children under 18 are always free.  The Bennington Museum is open 10 am to 5 pm every day but closed Wednesday until June 1.  June through October, the museum is open daily.  (Closed July 4).

Any time of year is a wonderful time to visit the Bennington Museum. From the museum’s permanent collection, items such as Bennington Pottery, the 1924 Wasp Touring Car, Fine Art, Vermont Furniture, and the Bennington Flag – one of America’s oldest flags - are always on view. Throughout each year, temporary exhibits change and have included displays that ranged from "Alice Neel/Erastus Salisbury Field: Painting the People" recognized by The Wall Street Journal as one of the nine most memorable exhibitions in North American in 2014 and the 1863 Jane Stickle Quilt to the grassroots art - folk art, outsider art.

You can always stroll through the Gilded Age Vermont Gallery or right next door, the Bennington Modernism Gallery.  Innovative, Creative, Edgy, Historic.  These are just a few of the words that describe the Bennington Honored by Yankee Magazine Editor's Choice as the Best Museum Makeover in 2015.  In addition to the exhibits, there are events and classes for children and adults throughout the year.
